v0.0.6 released.
http://gpe-expenses.sourceforge.net/
A simple expenses list manager for the GPE Palmtop Environment, an
equivalent to Expenses on the Palm but running on Familiar (iPAQ).
Supports payment types, categories, expense types (mileage, meals,
parking, etc.), notes, currency selection etc. Data is stored in a
sqlite backend using QOF (Query Object Framework).
First release.
As usual, please allow 24hrs for the SourceForge mirrors to update.
gpe-expenses is awaiting inclusion into Debian and will then be
packaged for Emdebian (embedded debian) [1] along with the rest of GPE.

Screenshots are available at the URL above.
QOF (Query Object Framework) [3] and GPE
1. QOF allows a sync operation to be selective and recursive -
providing a method of data-mining.
2. The QOF library is already being built on arm as a Debian package
so porting is not anticipated to be a large problem [4]
gpe-expenses uses QOF. It's not hard to wrap QOF around existing C
structs. I don't anticipate any report capability being available on
the iPAQ from gpe-expenses - only the via sync operation to the PC.
QOF depends on glib-2.0. gpe-expenses uses a sqlite backend via QOF.
gpe-expenses will be the basis for gpe-cash which itself is likely to
be in two components: personal and business. I'm looking at making the
invoice component able to query gpe-contacts, gpe-calendar and
gpe-expenses data to construct invoices and allow the personal
component to read data from gpe-expenses to create account entries.
gpe-cash is going to be quite large because I intend to support data
compatibility with gnucash and some of the gnucash objects use quite a
lot of C code. gpe-cash will be based on the code from cashutil [5] but
there is no code for gpe-cash as yet.
