Peter,

I am glad you found the packages useful but please give credit where it is
due!  The improvements in GPE are a result of work from various members of
the GPE team -- all I did was create the packages.

In particular, I believe that Santtu Lakkala, Neal Walfield and Joe
McCarthy deserve the main credit for the features you mentioned.
