Summary: ICS import - Last event missing
           Product: gpe-calendar
           Version: 0.91
          Platform: iPAQ hx4700
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P4
         Component: default
        AssignedTo: gpe-bugs at linuxtogo.org
        ReportedBy: mmvii at eclipticon.net

Importing a number of ICS files with gpe-calendar 0.91-r0 ($gpe-calendar -c
'Calendar Name' -i calendar.ics), I noticed events missing ... it turned out
they were the very last ones from each ICS file. After duplicating the last
event in each ICS file and re-import, they became visible.

Importing ICS files exported previously with gpe-calendar 0.91-r0, I observed
that all recurring events with a limited number of occurrences are set to
'occur forever' after import.

Might be a bug in gpe-calendar export/import or a feature missing in the ICS
specification.

I'm using gpe-today 0.11-r0 on an Angstrom system with gpe-calendar 0.91-r0
installed.

- Even though there are calendar entries for today, none of them is displayed
in gpe-today.

- After each start of gpe-today, the gpe-calendar database is corrupted and
unusable ("event_db_new event_db_new: Converting a version 1 to a version 2 db:
table events already exists.")

Might these be because gpe-calendar and gpe-today use different versions of
libeventdb (libeventdb2 - 0.90+svn20070214-r0 vs. libeventdb0 - 0.21-r0)?

yes. gpe-today was never ported to the new library API.

When I rewrote libeventdb, I changed both the library API
and the db format. I was careful to include code to upgrade
the old format to the new. The old libeventdb code does
not support the new format. But the problem is, it does
not detect this and ends up corrupting the db.
