Is it possible to just install gdb (and its libs) without setting up an entire
development environment?

Ok, I tried it again and now it's working (Not sure what's different). I'll
have to take a look at the other alarms I have set and try to get them working.
(the test one I made works, but the other alamrs on my list don't)

http://bugzilla.handhelds.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1794 is a report that appears to
describe the same problem. I haven't figured out why I can't subscribe to the
URL you provided but gpe-calendar doesn't seem to get a reply (although, wget
from the same computer works fine). Let me know if the new code which I have
checked in works for you.

On a newly flashed 770 (OS2006-3), I installed just gpe-calendar 0.73-21. Ran
it and didn't encounter the error.

There is no dual syncronization support. You can try gpesyncd which can
interact with opensync.
It is unlikely that documentation will emerge soon. Until then, you can ask
your questions on the gpe-list mailing list.

The scenario as described using version 0.73-21 works for me on a newly flashed
770. I doubt this is N800 specific but I don't have an N800 to test.

You should just be able to apt-get install it (its in repository.maemo.org).
Of course, you'll then have the problem that the binaries are stripped.
Limiting the output. It will at least be a start, however.

Comments:
- No ChangeLog entry.
- gpe_pim_category_name may return NULL.
- As far as I can tell, when you set "category-list", it makes a copy of the
list and the strings. You need to make sure the memory is freed.
- I've change gpe_pim_categories_init to be able to be called multiple times
without ill side-effects.

I ran it under gdb (no symbol information - sorry) and ran a test event with an
alarm. The alarm caused a SIGILL:
** GLib-GObject - invalid unclassed type '(null)' in class cast to 'EventDB'
(gdb) bt
#0 0x000cf2e8 in ?? ()
Sorry I don't have any more info yet.
