Right - it didn't ake me too long to find out that the machine detection code i
wrote is braindead. Like Koen suggested i would use a ini-like GKeyFile for that
purpose.
Another good idea might be to move this code to a library - some applications
could make use of it as well.

You know any help is appreciated, but even without i'm going to work in this
area :-)
