AFAIK it was not part of the default releases for a number of images. However
there might be recent images out that have it. I don't immediately know where
there are some available ones, but somebody else on the list might know.

As I have no clue which image you have installed I cannot tell you if there
are working archives (feeds) where you can install it from.

Also take notice that current GPE development is done at gpe.linuxtogo.org and
that there is a new mailing list at gpe-list at linuxtogo.org.
