It should be quite easy to fix all these issues porting gpe-calendar to use the
Maemo Alarm Framework. Its API is well documented and quite powerful. The reason
I did not do this when it was published was the fact that the Alarm Framework
part of Maemo is closed source and therefore we can't use it on other devices.

Hope yes, I would love to see that but I do not have time to do this myself
currently. But since gpe-calendar is open source and the API is documented
almost anyone could do that.
