I no longer use GPE on a handheld machine (alas, my h5000 was not supported
so well anymore by any distro and I turned to the darkside and got myself an
iphone), however that "not really exiting" hack was mine and I was never
very proud of it ;)
When I *did* use GPE on my desktop, that hack worked OK since it simply
minimized the window, but the testing I was able to do on my h5000 was not a
great experience (matchbox handled my pseudo-close in a weird way relative
to my desktop). Anyhow, my point is that as long as this works "mostly" it
has to be better than what I had put into the code.
My $0.02 from a (mostly) ex-GPE-er,
Joe
