Summary: gpesummary crashes when no calendar database
           Product: gpe-calendar
           Version: 0.73rc2
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P4
         Component: default
        AssignedTo: gpe-bugs at linuxtogo.org
        ReportedBy: g+gpe at cobb.uk.net
   Estimated Hours: 0.0

This is primarily for my own information: so I don't forget about the problem.

gpesummary crashes when there is no calendar database.

Not sure whether this causes a problem when gpe-calendar is installed, as it
now brings in gpesummary automatically.

gpesummary does not notice new events until show_all is called (for example, by
going to the option settings and clicking OK).

It would be good if there was a more efficient answer than calling show_all on
every update (every 60 seconds).

If "show appointments" is turned off, gpesummary crashes on startup (taking the
whole desktop with it!). I haven't checked if this is something to do with
adding the alarm monitoring or whether it has always done this.
