This is interesting, because the patches do show up as attachments in my 
inbox.  I have checked using both the gmail web client and Thunderbird 
as a POP email clients.  This may be because I was the sender of the 
original message, but it seems odd that I receive the patches (through 
the gpe-list) and others do not.

Please let me know if there is a better way than using attachments to 
submit patches.  (note - using in-line patches in the email body 
sometimes gets corrupted due to line wrapping).

I am willing to post patches using any method that works, and I welcome 
comments and suggestions to improve the patches.
