[Gpe-list] Running GPE on Ubuntu

Hi all, new member here.

Not a programmer, but I can type *make.* I can edit a config file.  The
basics.

*Looking for advice on how to do the following:

I've just ordered the Smart Q7 tablet. <http://www.eletroworld.cn/> (Click
the device image for more info, site is weird.)

It's an ARM11 device, running the mojo.handhelds.org ARM port of Ubuntu
(Hardy, I think.)

I'd like to use the new ARM Jaunty Jackalope, and a complete GPE on top.

Possible?  I think we're just talking about compiling and installing DEBs
for GPE, right, once the Jackalope is installed?  JJ should take care of
device and X configuration, no?

Any idea how difficult it would be to get Jaunty on it?

Any advice appreciated.
