Agreed. We only want one instance for the server and that one should run on
the system bus.

I'm undecided there. If it was only about Openmoko, I'd say, 100%, yes.
However, I can see the odeviced being used in a lot more scenarios where
additional runtime dependencies may not be welcome.
For now lets keep it with a tiny standalone configuration interface.
