installDebianOnNeo.sh depmod problem

Which means that depmod is running outside the chroot: this is strange,
since in installDebianOnNeo.sh:524 depmod is called *inside* the chroot.

I don't really know what's happening here, I don't have a 1973, thus I
cannot test it :-(
